 Our Lori ws presented with the Four Corners of the Foundation award by Library Director, Jose Aponte on May 29th. and it reads: "Presented to Loretta Turley in recognition of your excellence in customer service, as exemplified by the regular marketplace displays at the CBTS Library; and for your willingness to assume the most challenging assignments."   Photo: Left to Right: Helen McCarthy, Rebecca Chan, Mariah Phifer, Ashley Kirby, Rebecca Blake, Kendra Goffredo, Natalie Moffett, John Tower and Kimberly Berg Family and friends gathered Saturday June 14th. at the Cardiff-by-the-Sea Library where the Friends were pleased to award 8, $1,000 scholarships to deserving, local scholars: 4 to graduating seniors and 4 to continuing college students. José Aponte, SD County Library Director spoke and Mark Olson, Legislative Aide to Supervisor Pam Slater-Price presented certificates of appreciation from Pam. Council Person Teresa Barth initiated the scholarship program during her presidency of the Friends and in the past 3 years it has grown in popularity. Information for 2009 will be posted on our website when it is available. |
